Sewn open-mouth paper sacks are closed by stitching their edges, providing durability and allowing the packaging to be easily adapted to customer requirements. The use of strong thread or wire makes the sacks resistant to damage and suitable for storing various products, including both bulk and solid materials. They are widely used in the food, chemical and construction industries. Customisation options, such as logo printing, make it possible to tailor the packaging to the customer’s brand.

An alternative to sewn sacks is provided by pasted paper sacks, which are sealed using adhesives. They are ideal for packaging higher-value products, such as cosmetics and premium food products. Their production is simpler and more cost-effective than that of sewn sacks, while the gluing technology ensures greater precision. These packages are also easy to recycle, emphasising their environmentally friendly nature. Their attractive appearance and environmental benefits make them a solution worth considering.

Modern papermaking techniques allow durable single-ply sacks to be manufactured for repeated use. This type of packaging is not only more environmentally friendly but can also be more economical.

Depending on their intended application, paper sacks can be fitted with LDPE and HDPE film liners or ALU/PET/PE barrier liners. Pasted and sewn open-mouth sacks are suitable for manual packing, while valve sacks are designed for automated filling processes. Open-mouth sacks can be used for animal feed, granules, frozen products and pharmaceuticals, as well as for bulk packing smaller individual packages. Thanks to appropriately positioned double perforations, valve sacks can be filled quickly while allowing excess air to escape.
